Elder from platform, "So, what does the account of Lot with his daughter's teach us today?"
Pedophile from audience, "That in Armageddon, Jehobber will give us a pass if we bang our children if we are drunk and in a cave!"
this week's meeting stresses god's justice and righteousness in destroying the "wicked" people of the above cities.
we are told how patient and just big j was in this matter.
finally with a regretful shake of his head, he dispenses justice .. gen 19:24 then jehovah made it rain sulfur and fire on sodʹom and go·morʹrah—it came from jehovah, from the heavens.+ 25 so he overthrew these cities, yes, the entire district, including all the inhabitants of the cities and the plants of the ground.+.

never knew there was a jw connection, but episode 1 clearly shows awake magazines.
Her downstairs neighbor was a JW. Probably got the mag from her.
it seems some people still maintain that trump will try to get help from the russians “again”..
It is nothing new. Governments have been using misinformation from time immemorial. Russia does it, Great Brittan does it, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and yes, even the good old USA does it. The only thing that is different is the means used. It is progressing as we, as a society progresses.
What you need to ask yourself is why is some in the media and on the left is trying to so hard to spin such a non issue as this, especially when it is a tactic that the left uses? Well, I will answer it for you...because they have dumb down people so much, divided people so much, they know you will believe them without really looking into it. Just remember, "Orange man bad. ORANGE MAN BAD!"
******ORANGE MAN BAD********
(Now let us 'fix' our Democratic nomination process and don't look at what we are doing. It is just a bunch of computer errors, counting issues, and human errors......oh, and ORANGE MAN BAD!)

the big one in our hall was no frontal hugs!
these were generally thought of as inappropriate, only side hugs should be given between sisters and brothers.
The CO at the time was Mr. by the book. He was clamping down on all 'Congregation Picnics' at the time. It used to be that in the summer you could find a picnic being held by a local congregation every Saturday afternoon. It was kind of nice. Now, years later....there might be 1 or 2 you hear of in this area. That CO single handily virtually eliminated the picnics.StephaneLaliberte
Doctor Who: She was also publicly reproved 2 weeks later.
I hope the Circuit Overseer heard about this and was more balanced. Even by JWs standards, this is crazy.
yes an elder actually confessed to me that 50% he said from the platform was rubbish.
that was in 2006. now in 2019 i have recently been thrown out of the watchtower organisation.
well here's a video i put together showing early events to do with this.. https://youtu.be/ak5hmazvufg.
Bumping this excellent video for others to see. Anna, you are spot on with everything in it.

Anna, we had some really nice brothers in my old congregation too. Some are still there, but as you said they also had a merging and some MTS brothers assigned to it. The congregation went down hill fast. (Also, I have met thru this site some former members of that old congregation who were always pretty cool then, and I am happy to say they are now out also!)

Another story....we had a sister who had her property vandalized by a man that is a son of another baptized witness. The sister who had her property vandalized called the police and took the son to court to sue for damages. Now, that son actually faced jail time because of the amount of damages he caused.
When the elders found out, they told the sister to not sue the son because it would bring reproach on Jehovah's name. That sister said fine, but only of you pay and fix the damage. You know the brothers were not going to do that! So, she did sue and won. 6 months later, that sister was DF'd! She is still out to this day. Which, I guess you could say is a happy ending for her!
Oh, the best thing.....that son was welcomed back with opened arms and is now baptized. He is running microphones in the KH and is on his way to be a good borg.

We had a sister once have a picnic where she left the invitation open to all from the congregation. One of the "friends" heard and was telling everyone and anyone she knew that we were having a congregation picnic. The Sunday before the picnic, 2 elders took the sister organizing the picnic into the back room. I was/is very close to that sister and she explained that the elders told her she could be reproved for brazen conduct if she didn't cancel the picnic asap. The reason? She is a sister and was organizing it without the brothers direction! She tried to explain that it wasn't a 'congregation' picnic, just an open invitation to come to the park, bring your own food type of thing. But nooooo. The brothers need to be in charge, she was a Jezabel (yes they called her that!)
By the way....it was a great picnic! She was also publicly reproved 2 weeks later. There was also a local needs part on being 'submissive to the brothers even if it doesn't make sense at the time' talk.

Ok, let us all review everyone.....
IT'S A CULT!

No bubble gum! Yep! I remember a brother giving a local needs part about that as I sat chewing my gum like a cow only 3 rows from the front. His face was soooooo red it was hilarious!
